Call for Submissions: HSPVA Alumni 50th Anniversary Exhibition

Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) and DiverseWorks are conducting a call for submissions of recent artwork from HSPVA Alumni to celebrate its 50th Anniversary. Formed in 1971, HSPVA represents the first attempt by any public high school in the nation to correlate an academic program with concentrated training in the arts. Also, it was one of only three public schools in the nation to offer programs in both the visual and performing arts, and the first such institution in the Southwest.

Who is eligible to apply?

Only artists who graduated from HSPVA are eligible to apply. Artists may have graduated from any department or discipline.

How do I apply?

Apply online via Submittable. All applications must include:

• Current Bio and/or CV

• Up to Five Works for Consideration (jpegs, video links, audio files, and pdfs are accepted.)

Applications are due on Submittable by August 2, 2021.

All applicants will be notified by August 27. The exhibition of selected work by HSPVA Alumni is planned to be presented at DiverseWorks at MATCH from October 28-November 27, 2021.
